DJI Unveils the Neo 4K Drone: Ultra-Light at Just 135 Grams with Added Safety Features

DJI is set to revolutionize the drone market with its latest offering, the Neo 4K, which promises to be the lightest and most affordable fully-functional drone in their lineup. Weighing a mere 135 grams, the Neo 4K is lighter than DJI's Mini SE, which weighs 249 grams. This reduction in weight is a game changer, making it one of the most portable drones available.

DJI Unveils the Neo 4K Drone

The Neo 4K comes with a propeller guard that enhances safety, making it ideal for indoor use. It also features a one-click switch for flight modes, simplifying its operation whether you are a novice or a seasoned drone enthusiast. In addition to its standard remote control, the Neo 4K supports hand-held takeoff and landing, which can be particularly useful for casual users interested in quick, effortless aerial shots.

Priced at $329 for the Fly More Combo at Walmart, this package includes extra batteries, a charger, and a shoulder bag, offering great value. The standalone drone is expected to retail for even less, making it a highly accessible option for drone enthusiasts on a budget.

Unlike the DJI Mini series, the Neo 4K does not fold down but instead resembles the DJI Avata FPV in form. This design choice suggests it may support first-person view (FPV) flying with compatible goggles, enhancing the immersive experience of piloting.

As for its capabilities, the Neo 4K supports 4K video recording, ensuring high-quality footage. The details regarding battery life and wireless transmission range are yet to be disclosed, but the existing features already position the Neo 4K as a leading contender in the lightweight drone category.

The official launch date has not been announced, but if the leaked photos are accurate, DJI may introduce the Neo 4K to the market within the next few weeks.
