DJI is gearing up to launch its latest drone, the DJI Air 3S, anticipated to hit the market in September. Recent leaks from Igor Bogdanov have unveiled more about this new drone, showcasing adjustments in the front visual sensors and an upgraded gimbal system. The most notable enhancement is the 1-inch main camera sensor, a significant upgrade from the current Air 3 model.
Comparing the DJI Air 3 and Mavic 3 Pro, the new Air 3S will likely feature:
- Wide-Angle Camera: 1/1.3 inch CMOS, 48 MP, 24mm equivalent focal length
- Mid-Telephoto Camera: 1/1.3 inch CMOS, 48 MP, 70mm equivalent focal length
Meanwhile, the Mavic 3 Pro boasts a Hasselblad wide-angle camera with a 4/3 CMOS sensor, 20 MP, and an additional super-telephoto camera with a 1/2 inch CMOS, 12 MP, and 166mm equivalent focal length.
The DJI Air 3S will also come with a 4241 mAh intelligent flight battery, offering up to 46 minutes of flight time and 42 minutes of hover time. Pricing is expected to align with the current DJI Air 3, which launched at around $950 USD.
